Nutiva is a natural fit for the I’m Free! class, since we’re all about clean eating, with recipes that use no wheat, dairy or sugar. Using organic and sustainably harvested ingredients is important to us. We want maximum health and a green planet!
We use Nutiva’s organic hemp seeds in the seed cracker’s pictured above. It’s educational for the class to learn and taste the difference between virgin organic coconut oil (rich, creamy and delicious in our watercress soup) and steam-refined coconut oil (with no coconut flavor at all, but a high, clean smoke point perfect for sauteeing our zucchini in our zucchini quinoa salad). Speaking of coconut oil, Nutiva’s MCT oil, (extracted medium-chain triglycerides from pure coconut oil) is great to try if you’re exploring a Ketogenic diet. The exogenous ketones in MCT oil will boost those numbers and get you feeling fantastic!
Nutiva supplied us with fabulous little squeezable pouches — perfect for sampling the different varieties of coconut oils available. The winner is the chocolate coconut manna (pictured above).
