Our Crêpes of all Kinds Virtual Cooking Class turns milk, flour, and eggs into masterpieces of the imagination! Learn to make sweet and savory style crêpes — and fill them with whatever you dream. Are you gluten-free or dairy-free? Join us and learn the adaptations.
Crêpes are so simple to make and require just a few ingredients. Yet you can turn them into many meals: a quick breakfast on-the-go, a fancy dinner, a decadent dessert. The common denominator is that they’re all delicious!
Enjoy crêpes straight out of the pan, or stack them up to heat through in a warm oven. What to put in/on them? Your imagination is the limit! This is an all-ages class: all are welcome! (Kids can participate solo or with an adult if they need the help.)
Ingredients for Crêpes of all Kinds:
1½ cups milk (you can use nut or coconut milk)
1 cup flour (you can use GF flour)
butter for cooking your crepes (or use coconut oil spray)
Blender, or bowl and whisk
a medium-sized non-stick skillet
Crêpes are delicious on their own, but also wonderful to turn into both savory and sweet dishes. Any of these ingredients are fun to add to your crêpes but don’t feel obligated to have all these ingredients to hand. Your instructor will help you mastermind what ingredients you do have, and how to work them into delicious crêpes.
Some suggestions are:
Lemon and sugar
Banana slices and a few squares of dark chocolate or Nutella
Orange zest and jam, or fresh fruit of just about any kind
Smoked salmon, creme fraiche and chive
Spinach and feta cheese
Tomato sauce and mozzarella
Grated veggies, like carrot and zucchini
. . . the options are endless, let your imagination run wild!
