Don’t you just love a dessert that is beautiful, delicious, and EASY? These Mango & Ginger Tarts deliver. And better yet, they are super-healthy! Check out the ingredient list…there is no butter, no sugar, no flour….yeah, that’s right! Our Mango and Ginger Tarts are 100% guilt-free!
We’ll make a gluten-free no-bake pastry tart, and a rich mango custard filling. All you need to decide is if you’ll make tartlets or one large tart for a showstopper of a dessert.
Here’s what to have hand & ready for Class:
1½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
¾ cup macadamia nuts or cashews
¾ cup walnuts
Medjool dates – these are to taste, go for about ½ cup
2 cups dried mango – TJs always carries these (buy 2 packs), but they’re easy to find anywhere
fresh or dried ginger (just a small amount), optional
optional fresh fruit of your choice for garnish: raspberries and blueberries, blackberries, strawberry slices, kiwi, — whatever’s in season and looks amazing. Let’s make these Mango & Ginger Tarts look like they were made in a French Patisserie!
A food processor and blender are necessary for this class. You’ll also need a vessel (or vessels) for your Tarts: perhaps 1 large tart tin, pie plate or baking dish, or several small baking dishes are perfect.
