Let Hipcooks transport you to Spain! Our Tapas Sip & Nibble class has the classics: a beautiful and refreshing Red Sangria, Tortilla Española with layers of fried potatoes and caramelized onions, and stuffed Spanish piquillo peppers with quinoa and Manchego.
Our Tapas Ingredients Kit makes it easy — just about everything you need for class arrives in a lovingly packed box. The purchase price includes the Tapas Kit (4 servings), shipping, and the cost of the class. (If you cannot attend the live class, we’ll send you a recording to watch at your convenience.)
Ingredients for Tapas Sip & Nibble
Without the ingredients kit, you’ll need to purchase and have these items ready. This will serve 4:
1 head of garlic
1 bunch parsley
4 ounces Manchego cheese
¾ lb medium-sized potatoes (like red bliss, but yellow or white will work well, too)
a pinch of saffron
a 14-ounce can or jar of whole Piquillo peppers
½ cup uncooked quinoa (use red, white, or multicolored)
1 bottle of red table wine
a splash of orange liquor (like Citronge, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier)
16 fluid ounces of fruit juice with no sugar added. We love Trader Joe’s Mango Passion Fruit or Country Peach
a small amount of butter/olive oil for cooking
There will be some prep involved before class starts. We’ll send you a small prep sheet prior to class.
2 skillets (one 10-inch and one 12-inch are ideal)
Mixing bowls and spatulas
Kitchen knife & cutting board
Pitcher for Sangria
Baking tray lined with parchment or silicone baking mat
