If you’re feeling like you need an inoculation of good health mixed with holiday cheer, here it is in a glass: our Holiday cranberry smoothie! Bottom’s up with this tasty “Vitamin C Bomb.”
We love this smoothie because it’s delightfully punchy from the cranberry and ginger, yet with just enough banana to tame the tartness.
Remember when your mamma gave you ginger ale when you were a sick little kiddo? Ginger reduces nausea, and pain, and inflammation. Cranberries are a superfood, super-high in nutrients, antioxidants, and polyphenols. They’re awesome for gastrointestinal health and immunity overall.
Because we love to garnish a smoothie, we add a few fresh cranberries to our holiday cranberry smoothie.

Ingredients
1 banana
½ pound fresh organic cranberries, saving a few for garnish
½ piece of ginger, peeled
1 orange, peeled
juice of lemonInstructions
Pop all your ingredients in your Vitamix, and add about 1 cup of water to start. Blend, using the tamper, to a nice consistency (add more water if you need to.)
Taste, and adjust the sweetness (banana), spiciness (ginger) and sour (lemon) to taste.
Because we love to garnish the smoothie, we add cranberries to the top. Go for it!
